Suffocated (Rewritten) - Poem by Jake Warren

Bent on confusion
And lonely
Surrounded by ‘friends”
Bent on illusion
And moaning
Blanketed by sins…
Nothing makes sense
It’s just too much
I’m suffocated
What exactly am I looking for?
I’m not so sure…
Stranded
And lonely
Finally left alone
Got what I want
Now all my “friends” are gone
But now who will listen to me moan?
It’s just too much
I’m suffocated
What exactly am I looking for?
I’m not so sure…
Will I ever be satisfied
With what I can get
When in the end
It all amounts to shit?
All by myself
Surrounded or not
Guess I will have to
Deal with what I’ve got
It’s just too much
I’m suffocated
What exactly am I looking for?
It’s just too much
And I'm maladjusted
What exactly am I looking for?
It’s just too much
And my life is a bore
What exactly am I looking for?
I’m not so sure…
