Suffocating Poem by Jennifer Sollmann

Suffocating

Rating: 5.0

You’re pulling me under the water
Deep cyan surrounds me
Suffocating under the pressure
I can’t take it anymore
My desire is to push you away
Thrust my way to the surface
Break the glassy water
I can’t break your eyes
Losing my mind to keep you sane
I have a nomadic heart
Always wandering to another
Silent apologies in my gesture
Secretly causing you pain
A pain you don’t realize
I’m trapped by the chains
And I can’t find the key
I’m suffocating in me
