Suffocating Poem by Joseph Ivie

Suffocating

Eat away his dreams
dry up his passions
work him to the bone and deep inside
he will decay and die
slowly kill him
selfishness is a disease
over protection is a curse
trust is impossible
let him choose his own path
before your ambitions get in the way
of him being his best
letting go is hard
but without lessons
there can be no reward in the end
blanket him and one day
he will blindly wonder this world
