Suicide Beach Poem by Kelly Zion

Suicide Beach

A little girl dreamed of Suicide Beach
where she could let her dreams run free
away on the sand like Rainbow Dash,
where her spirit became a pony.

She waited her life
until twenty dies
and Bravebird her last reminder,
you promised, little girl
one promise was heard
in the skies the night of the fire.

Kitten come call, the birds are long gone
braid your hair and put on a long skirt
dance too the moon
we all die too soon
we'll see you tonight in the skies, girl.

Every night, every night, they were so long nights
I couldn't sleep because I was crying
and everyone, everyone, just hurt me so much
I knew I was better off dying.

It's okay tonight, girl
we've made the world
round so there's no where to land
so fly all around, then fall to the ground
in the sand, maybe you'll understand
why do you keep dreaming,
saving your screams?
It's better to let go to the sea.
