Summer Ride Poem by Lopamudra Mishra

Summer Ride

As a newly wed bride..
I expressed my desire for a long ride, , ,
He took permission from elders with snide..
He made me sit by his side, , ,
Took his bike...
On the broad day light..
To the river side...
For a long stride..! !
My skin and cheeks red
In this thrice..
Sweat rolling down due to heat
From my forehead...
I became annoyed with his bully stripe
He walked fast without noticing my pain of summer bite..
Following him...........

Jerked my pride..
It struck me..
I AM HIS WIFE,
AND HE THINKS ME A RIFE..

Feels to swipe
I control my tripe..
I cried silently thinking of
Mama and papa in quite..
Suddenly he looked back
With a smirk..
Told me
YOU ARE MY LIFE..
Wiped my gentle face
With his hanky snipe..
All my displeasures vanishes in moment's smite..
Enjoyed the scorching heat
In gripe..
Walking by his side in the river side

Lively internal conversation well expressed.............enjoyed it. A kind word or a gentle gesture can wipe of deep pain/sorrow within few seconds.....
