Summer You Tricked Me Again Poem by Leaking Pen

Summer You Tricked Me Again

Rating: 0.5

Yellow ribbons, red ribbons
None celebrating my life
The only ribbon I know
My tongue's black magic spinning tales

Witches broomsticks buzzing around
Their song celebration
I joined the dark forces
Cursed all summer's song

Crime in progress! Do not cross
This poem roped off
Angel alarms turned off
No help on the way
Nature of my crime yet unknown
To gossiping daily tongues

Summer tricked me again
Into others poetry
The devil's truth
I am as mad as well
Can't stomach summer anymore!

From what I recall
My reason to swell
I am judged to tell
By peers of my shell
Found guilty as hell
Insanity my recall

Instructions from the bench
To discard my alibi
I am caught red handed
Stabbing verses located
My anger not placated

My thoughts exposed
Hate to verse
This poem the evidence
Framing my curse

Beyond any doubts
Guilty! Guilty! Guilty!
Read the jurist loud
Nature of my crime?
I killed summer's rhyme

Witness to witness
My prosecutors
I torn to pieces the heart of summer
My prosecutors
Splash of rhyme here and there
Core of my poem falls apart

I cursed the Sun's to induce death
Frozen Siberia nuclear winters
Who but I caused nature's death
Summer fades like cinders

Original defence falls to pieces

Summer you tricked me again
Into others poetry
The honest truth
I can't write anything good about you
I'm the heart of winter
Short fuse to anger
Throw enough mud at your wall
Some of it will stick I hope

It's the reflection of my being
Dark sediments deposited in my pool
Cannot reflect the light
From the heaven's above
Throw enough mud at your wall
Some of it will stick I hope

The core of my point
I lost you years ago
To clear skies,
fluttering butterflies, ripened fruits
This lad can never compete
With full art on display
Throw enough mud at your wall
Some of it will stick I hope

Vivid colors,
Intoxicating smells,
Beaches to boys
Girls to bikinis
Sun tan oil to skins
Coco to chocolate
Sugar cane to rum
Fluttering wings
Flowers to bees
Art of lovemaking
Winds to sails
Ships to seas
List to infinity
List my despair
Mud sticking on my wall
I never wished for it all

Your magic brush my jealousy
I'm afraid I will be struck down
By infinity that created you
I'll be a tiny spec placed
On the canvas of your painting
Hanging at the edge of your tableaux
Overwhelmed by your vast panorama
My one purpose of being there
To complain about me, me, me and me
Not being fully integrated
To life itself..........
I'm just a humbuck!
List my despair
Mud sticking on my wall
End of my long haul
