Summertime Poem by Joseph Enright

Summertime

Early mornong sun creeps over the hill,
Summer dawn.....world silent and still,
Cud chewing cows sit on dew drenched grass
Berries on bushes shine like polished glass.

Swift flying swallows tumble oer the meadow.
Bees seek nectar from dandelions yellow,
Bleating sheep on distant hill
Sounds float oer morning still.

Air perfumed with new mown hay
Early morn, summers day.
Vibrant colours they delight
Cloudless sky...pierciengly bright.

When the sun sinks in the wesr
Heals up all the world in rest
Ivory coloured moon hangs overhead
Dimond sparkling stars on black velvet bed
As the daylight sinks away
End of a perfect summer day....
