Summoned Poem by G J Salgado

Summoned

May you forever be wrapped in glory and gold.
Times of all innocence have been sold.
Searching for the inner child within me.
So that I can believe.
Once again like I did before.
But I cannot unlock the door.
I have only been given a narrow window.
Delivering the light with the dark shadows.
Visions taunt my memory.
Of this broken destiny.
It has spoken so many languages in my past.
I always knew the childhood gift would not last.
Along the way I have forgotten these.
But I have also began remembering.
Certain powers I distinctly used to know then.
Particular days since I have recalled them.
I wait as the galaxies reverse.
Standing alone as I received its curse.
Written upon my skin as it makes its mark.
Poisoned within me as it fuels the spark.
Deep inside as the fire burns.
Invested upon me as the universe turns.
The flames continue to ignite.
When the changes take flight.
It changes me each second of the day.
All dimensions resume as one in a perfect way.
As it all once was in my mind.
Summoned is my dream, now it is something that the rest of you must find.
