Sunday Sunday Poem by Onuora ilodibe

Sunday Sunday

Just like everyday
Comes in different hue
Somewhat
Sundays are cool
Starts at the church
Ends wherever we want
Frenetic splurge
Lounge
Outdoor indulge Friends and family
Atmosphere balmy
Cooley evenings
Bottles are rallied
Cocktail Molotov
Deflagrate
Times we migrate
To a different spot
Stopped where we start
Gleefully chattering
About awesomely nothing
Peruse from politics to sports
Back to state of the economy
Everything resolves
Anonymous courtesy
Buzz for charity
One for the road
Two on the house
And three for your spouse
Music bang louder
Clock spins faster
Day gets darker
Crowd Starts to dwindle
Heads Starts to swivel
Left but we amigos
Inveterate dipsomaniacs
Grandiose troika
Corpus Christi in momoriam
We do it Sunday Sunday
