Sunny Breakfast Poem by Pradeep Dhavakumar

Sunny Breakfast

The cold Sun
soaked in thick tears
whimpered in pain,
in the vengeful
red heat
of black space.

To save the sun
from blackening
I bedded it
in a ceramic crater,
sprinkled salt and pepper
and ate it
for breakfast.
