Sunrise Poem by Ray Springer

Sunrise

The days lay silent as the night draws closer
The horizon stays within its bed of calm
Slowly rising as the earthly sounds begin to travel
Near the earth there is a clutter a gathering
Music to the ear of the ones that live near
Then silence earth and water alike
respect to the event about to happen
silence...it happens a sudden burst an explosion
from where it comes curiosity calls
a warmth like no other explodes upon the senses
Causing a chain reaction that leaves one in awe
A glorious sunrise the likes no one ever saw
