Sunsets Poem by Sydney Hocker

Sunsets

Deep in the meadow
Lies the oak tree
Where dreams never fade
And love came to be.
Under the clouds
Floats the sky
Blankets of color
This is where you never die.
Above the lilies
Are where the butterflies wait
Aside from reality
To find it you cannot hate.
Beneath the sun
Lies the land of passion
Where it shines over everything
Nature knows compassion.
It may seam far away
But its beneath your feet
Open your heart
This is how you came to be.
