Sunshine Poem by Jeffrey Stultz

Sunshine

Let me bask for a moment
in the sunshine of your smile.
Let me behold for an instant,
The warm inviting light
which sparks in your eyes,
And imagine that their candle
is lit for me.
Grant me the gift of this illusion,
For it costs you nothing,
Yet brings a fleeting comfort
To a worn and weary soul.
