Sunshine Bubble Town Poem by Steven Harris

Sunshine Bubble Town

This place is the weird and
wonderful
it's surreal and unique
the sun drips it's heat all across the
town
people walk underneath it
drifting through a gentle breeze
shopping
smiling
drinking coffee
big hats
spotty dresses
the arrogance spills out from the people
who hang around here
it's bizarre and strange
all champagne drinkers and tofu
eaters
emergency dieters
and fancy dog walkers
and drive bmw's
it's a shoe in that people are having
affairs left and right
everybody too rich for their own good
odd and fun
the sadness of all it
the strangeness
fake smiles across pretty faces
as they drink French wine and eat pasta
the land of the fake
sunshine ville
everyone wants to come here for the pretty
skyline
but it's full to the rafters with sadness
divorce and death
drug and alcoholism
fakeness and anti reality
bubble town.
