Lilac Wine

Sunshine on a Cloudy Day

Let me be the sun that graces your cloudy days
Let me be the sun that illuminates your dark and cold days
Let me be the sun that rises and sets in your eyes
Let me be the sun that fills your spirit with laughter and smiles
Let me be the sun that warms your soul and graces your heart
Let me be the sun that takes you way above the heavens

Let me lay before you my golden rays to light your way
Let me lay before you my dazzling sunbeams to chase away the shadows
Let me fill your life with love joy and inspiration
Let me chase away your slumber and fill your days with dreams
Let not the sun set evermore
Let me be the sun in your life forevermore

Poem of the Day

poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.
