Supposed Cure Poem by Matt Burgett

Supposed Cure

My real feelings for you
To $! (^! @ must be said now
I have love but the only issue
Is not being able to be in the same town

The distance it sucks and makes it hard
To fall as deeply as I could
I vow to you upon the stars
If I could have you then I would

I don't want you to feel that I do not care
It's all just self defence
My mental state make me contemplate
But I love you that I promise

That last poem came to be because
Of a realization that caught me off guard
Something someone else had said
triggered something else in my head

Now I'm settled down and can
Get back to writing for you
It might not be what it was meant to be
But I'm trying that's the truth

I wish to cuddle close to you
And listen to your heart beat
To feel the warmth and hear your voice
At the first time we will meet

Be it soon or even later
As long as it is for sure
To hold your hand while we stand
In the rain you are my cure
