Surrendering To Night Poem by Cat Ducat

Surrendering To Night

The horizon glows red,
As the sun sets upon the fields of wheat,
The moon shines it's light,
Upon the gorgeous ocean blue,
The day is done.
The night is come.
The moon and stars radiate,
in the dark night sky.
Shimmering like glass,
The ocean's reflection has turned to black,
as the balmy waters cool,
The field of wheat waves with the breeze,
Feeling the exhaustion,
A lone farmer,
A lone beach resident,
Lay out amidst the stars.
They slowly surrender
As the stars glow bright,
As the moon grows light,
Surrendering to night.
Sometimes, the solution to life.
The day has given many opportunites,
The night has gifts to come.
Laying out amidst the stars,
The feeling of security.
Falling, into dreams.
