Survival Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Survival

Forty words:

Britain has survived
the trauma of world wars
and the 'royal throne of kings'
transformed the golden shores.
But now, deep in recession,
she makes a sound confession:
Britain needs to be updated...
never say she's antiquated.
Britain will survive.
