Swallow Bed Poem by e.e. wilholt

Swallow Bed

Darkness lays heavy on me
While the outside morning rain-sound
Playing hard in my ears
Brings me to smile

Raining dampens my mixed feelings
Of the evening’s leaving ventures

Restless breathing and restive thoughts
Take me to a morning sleep

Waking to a cold, clear
Smiling day with several
Swallowed uncertainties
But ringing sunny
Contentment memories
To last me for a time

When the smiles return
That is when I will know
I am happy once again
