Swallow My Words Poem by Sean Toland

Swallow My Words

Foot in my mouth,
something so mean,
Foot in my mouth,
I have hurt my queen,

It was never my intention,
certainly not my scene,
to stand outside beggin,
while she crys at a locked door,

I resent those words I said,
With no intent nor vigour,
I resent those words I said,
And as a man this can only make me bigger,

All i can do is apologise,
and realise I was totally wrong,
All i can do is apologise,
ask to forgive me and move on
