Sweet sweet Africa
The sight of your land gladdens my heart
Your motherly warmth, the touch we all desire
Your binding palms unites all your children
The belles from the far hills sing songs of your praise
Your comfortable niche, irreplaceable and irresistible
Like onion we have always been within you;
Your cultures so colourful
Like the radiant rainbow.
We enjoy the undiluted portion of nature within you
Your Sahara and savannah, rainy and dry season
We all love.
Your people, your black people so loveable and mighty
Your crèche, where the peaceful
Birds build their nest to rest
Your name brings joy
To our oomph-filled heart
To all that comes, you stretch your hospitable hands.
I dream daily of your plenteous pleasures
Despite struggles within, your love still gladdens our hearts.
We fed from your inexhaustible breast
That brings us mirth
Sweet sweet Africa, the magic of the world.
Your wards are blended by your overwhelming love
I can never forget you, my sweet Africa.
