Sweet Bond Poem by Amudipe Opeyemi Marcus

Sweet Bond

With Eyes Iced all over us
Our hands interlocked by no magic glue
we walked down the aisle, with hearts
We smiled, a glance of we stole

Theos watched, we took our vows
Readily happily we took our bow
Take not the stage, its ours
To love's beat we swayed our hearts

A battle of love we began
Like our lives depended on it
We danced, our sweats enough to fill the Nile
Our initiation rites into a new life

Hercules, we bid for strength
Aphrodite, endless love we seek
Piapus, Fertility we pray
And to the all knowing one, ourselves we give.
