Sweet Rose Poem by Francis Duggan

Sweet Rose

Sweet Rose has returned to her home by the sea
She is back now where she wishes to be
In the coastal tropics where it seldom does rain
She feels happy for to be back home again
In her early twenties at the door of her prime
On her side she has youth, beauty and time
Dark hair and brown eyes and lovely to behold
The temperate climate for her was too cold
With a beautiful smile she is sun tanned and brown
She is the Sweet Rose of her tropical coastal Hometown
Our town without her seems a much duller place
She is missed for her charm and her beauty and her smiling face
She now is living where she wishes to be
Her Hometown in the tropics by the Pacific sea..
