Enjoy the sweetness along the way
Overlooking all the hard knocks
The breath it was worth taking
It was all so easy then
Days lasted a week
Life and friends immortal
Tender affection smiles
Never heard the door close
Voices behind no longer echo
Eternity tenderly beckons come
Nothing is lost of love, and
Sweetness along the way
Somewhere in your life
You smiled, you laughed,
You cried, you will grieve
Demons haunt the fragile
Hold on to the love
Dark shadows give way
It won’t rain all the time
Cherish the simple things
