Tabula Rasa Awaits Written Opportunities Poem by Terence George Craddock

Tabula Rasa Awaits Written Opportunities

we are born tabula rasa the blank slate all that we shall do
all that we shall be is written we shall write our own destiny
we are the wax tablet blanked smooth is the heated wax what
into our life pages shall we write?

human intellect at birth is not pure potentiality already attitudes
indifference of inapt inept parents stains underprivileged chances
actualized education is kindness or cruelty inherient in hard hands
first holding our lives in the balance

all we come to know is bred with first changes
this world is first determination quote evidence
behavioural genetics indications prove conclusively

all is not equal at birth strong are favour genetic influences
operating on personal characteristics mask rank indisputable
dominant denominator is ace silver spoon cultural privileges
