Tagore Song (168) Thou Give Strength To Carry Whoever Carries Thy Flag Poem by Tushar Ray

Tagore Song (168) Thou Give Strength To Carry Whoever Carries Thy Flag

(tomar potaka jare dao tare bohibare dao shokoti)

Thou giveth the strength to carry
Whomsoever Thou offer Thy Flag
Giving him strength for enduring
Plentiful pains for Thy great cause

Hence, I want life-filling suffering
Alongside ending suffering in life
Don’t want freedom by evasion
If Thou give devotion along with
The Gift of agony from Thy hand
Pain will be my own decoration

If Thou don’t wish me to forget Thee
Offer me as much work as Thou wish
Tie me up as many turns as Thou wish
If Thou don’t want me wrapped up
With the rotten stuffs and garbage
Only keep myself free towards thyself
Keeping me in sacred dust in Thy feet
