Tagore Song (#72) How Do Thou Sing Thy Songs Poem by Tushar Ray

Tagore Song (#72) How Do Thou Sing Thy Songs

(tumi kemonkore gan korohe guni)

Oh Lord, Master of all Talents
How do Thou sing Thy Songs?
I listen in awe, and only listen
Melodic sparks cover the cosmos
Musical winds flow across the sky
Light of Music engulf entire ether
Keenly rushing thru tunneling stones!

I wish I could sing the same way
But can’t find tune in my vocal chord
I wish to sing, but facing obstacle
My defeated soul starts crying
What a barrier Thou indeed created
By enclosing me with Thy songs!

Lovely poem. Who can surpass God's music and songs! We are blessed that He gave us opportunity to listen and enjoy His melody. Just like we are fortunate to read Tagore's poetry.
