Tai Chi Circle Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Tai Chi Circle

We have a common interest that we share.
We move in unison to the flow of the air.
We are all connected with an invisible string.
Following a leader who has us under her wing.

Each movement brings awareness to our being.
Our spirits are now merging, and yet overseeing.
We have gained an understanding of unification.
After the final bow, we disclose our appreciation.

With discipline and practice we are improved.
Stress and tension are banished and removed.
Our form shapes a desire to concentrate attention.
Completion ends with a circle; we offer intention.

We have come to know one other as a caring friend.
We will take the rewarding feeling around the bend.
Familiar faces and voices will still affect our views,
We have absorbed light from an aura of many hues.
