Tainted love

LOVE SO BLIND BUT YET SO TRICKY
SOMETHING THAT INTENDS TO HELP IS OUT TO GET ME
TAINTED, TAINTED LOVE
I JUST WATCH YOU BLEED
SEDUCING MY MIND WITH LUST AND INTRIGUE
CONSUMING MY SOUL LIKE THEIVES
ONLY PURE SELFISHNESS INDEED
TO BE PLEASED AND NUTURED
HAVING ME WELCOME YOU INTO MY LIFE LIKE A VIRTUE
MAKING ME CHANGE, ACCEPTING ANYTHING, HAVING TO REARRANGE, AND MAINLY DRIVING ME INSANE
EXPERIENCING ALL KINDS OF PAIN
AM I TO BLAME?
MAKING ME ASHAMED, TRUSTING, NEEDING, AND PROTECTING YOU
LIKING, LOVING, WANTING, DISLIKING, AND HATING YOU
RUNNING, HIDING, CRYING, AND DENYING
WHAT AM I TO DO?
BLINDED BY EMOTIONS BLINDED BY TAINTED LOVE
LOVE IS BLIND AND ESPECIALLY DANGEROUS

Poem of the Day

poet Walt Whitman

ARM’D year! year of the struggle!
No dainty rhymes or sentimental love verses for you, terrible year!
Not you as some pale poetling, seated at a desk, lisping cadenzas
piano;
