Take A Chance On Love Poem by An Angel Without Wings

Take A Chance On Love

Day and night are merged.
What once felt wrong feels right.
How do I figure out what comes next,
When the days are short and the nights are long?

Do I let myself go, and fall into the abyss,
Or do I hold myself back, close to the edge?
What is life without taking risks?

Pain is nothing,
Compared to what it's like to love.
For love is a grand emotion,
That fuels the heart to rise above.

Should I let myself go, and free fall into nothing,
Or cling to the edge, afraid to give in?
What is life without taking risks?

Love and hate go hand in hand.
One cannot exist without the other.
The love for a country, may fuel hate for a war,
Pinning faith against faith and brother against brother.

Can I let myself go, to fall into chaos,
Or inch my way forward, closer to the edge?
What is life without taking risks?

So do I open my heart and allow love in,
While at the same time risk fall apart?
Logic states I should listen to my mind,
But deep down I want to listen to my heart.

So here I go, free falling into something greater.
No longer on the edge.
Besides, what is life without taking risks?
