Take A Pamphlet Poem by Nia Schexnider

Take A Pamphlet

Take a pamphlet of the pain
of animals that have suffered in vain
of animals that will never have a name
like a family pet.

Take a pamphlet if you dare
To give your conscience a chance to care
You might look, but you can't stare,
At what you see within.

Are you afraid of what you might see,
The grief, the pain, the misery?
Are you afraid of what you might be?
Just your average consumer.
