Take No Prisoners! Poem by Dee Daffodil

Take No Prisoners!

Rating: 4.0

My instructions to him were clear...
Take no prisoners!
Kill every last one of them! !

I wasn't certain he could carry out my orders
He was after all...
An apprentice

Yet...
I as I watched him...
I knew that I had chosen well
He had a certain desire
To do the job...
And do it well!

He was less inclined to make it personal
Than I was...
No emotions involved...
It was just a job!

One by one
I watched them die
And...
To be honest...
I took great delight in watching
Their vital juices ooze
From their bellies!

They had had their day!
They had cavorted about
Wreaking havock wherever they went

It was time to put an end to it! !

Justice...was swift!
I had taught him well
First...
Line them up in your sights...
Then...
Smoosh! !
Obliterate them!

He took great satisfaction and pride
In doing his job well...
And I commended him for it

He was after all...
Only four years old...
But to him...
Grubs were the enemy! !

Phase two....

Nematodes! !

When my daughter was that age, we took some of the bigger ones as prisoners...only to execute them later by impalement on a fishhook. Too bad that most garden grubs are so tiny. Hey Dee, great poem. Zen

Classic Dee=tail, thought provoking Idea, yet to teach a four year old such habits may lead to bigger game, nicly written
