Take You Back Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Take You Back

If you keep walking out like this
I got to learn the art of letting go
Continually allowing you to comeback
Won't guarantee you'll love me any

Got this weakness in my heart
Give myself to you wholly
and it hurts me everytime
You don't return affections
Got this weakness in my heart
and it's breaking me apart
Can't keep allowing you to
Hurt me the way that you do

know that I won't take you back
and that you saying sorry just
can not replace the hurt in my heart
There's no coming back from this

you insist on playing silly games
you're no good for me, i know that
But instead I let my heart make decisions
when I know that in my mind, i'll be back
there at square one brokenhearted and crying
