Take your time and delve deep into your heart
To find out if I’m there
Look through the skin to find my blood
If it’s running black or fair

Take your time to feel the beatings of my heart
Whether it takes your name or not
Whether it sings poems of love or hate
Or it is filled only with lust

Take your time to test its faithfulness to you
Or if there is anyone to make a claim
Its purity is the gift to my beautiful lover
And there is reason for it to blame

Take your time and give love to the man who
Would love through pain and strife
He will be waiting for you till his death
To get you as his lovely wife

Please, take your time.
