Paulo's mind was
Racing.
This...'angel' who's
Eyes are but holes,
Who has wings of silver
But strange relics
And marking.
'How did she save me?
The cougar was right on me.'
'She did this awesome thing
Where the wind blasted the cat! '
Maria cried joyfully.
'Huh? '
'Lady, ' Maria tugged at her
Robes,
'Show him! '
The lady hesitated.
Paulo stared at her.
The lady raised her
Hand and recited
Something so fast
Paulo didn't understand her.
He felt the wind surge
Toward the aldy
And then
A sudden gust
Shot across the Meadow.
A single tree
At the end
Swayed and
Shattered.
Paulo flinched
And moved
Away.
'Don't be scared
Paulo. This lady
Helped us.'
'She is a monster
Maria! She could
Hurt or even kill
Us! '
'But she didn't
Paulo! '
Maria started
To cry.
