Tasting Queens Anne Lace Poem by Kevin Patrick

Tasting Queens Anne Lace

And should you taste
Sweet Queen Annes Lace
Tread limbs with tender velvet
til she seeps a gushing banquet
While crawling up her stalks
Are bees beneath her bonnet
Nimbly sucking what she covets
Until her pelvis loins defrocked

With the femanine touch
You'll get an inch to much
Become addicted to delight
In ways a mistress shared your bride
and her veiled umbels gleam
Colonies of milkweed snow
The marks the red cap sows
The rise of Aphrodites streams
