Taxes Poem by Barry Jablonski

Don’t you hate paying taxes?
‘Cause you know I really do
They tax everything you own
Then add a made up tax too

You pay taxes on your house
And then taxes on your car
There’s a tax for goin' fishing
Ain’t that goin’ a bit too far?

Yes, complain to Washington
But it won’t do you any good
They’ll never lower our taxes
The way they said they would

Our politicians are the culprits
To which I’ve sent many faxes
They piss away all our money
Then decide to raise our taxes

Soon they'll try to tax you for
The very air you need to live
They’ll keep taxing everything
‘til there’s nothing left to give
