Teach Your Children Poem by Paul Adolphus

Teach Your Children

Teach your children they way they should go
Instill in them proper values and morals as they grow
show your children where they belong
teach them what is right from what is wrong

Discipline them when they need correction
that's a sign of your love and affection
give your children sound principles
from an early start
and from those ways they will never depart

Teach them manners and they will always have respect
a good upbringing is something a parent shouldn't neglect
be an example to them with positive influence
instruct them about the dangers of drugs, alcohol and violence

Explain the facts of life as best you could
that will be their guide as they reach adulthood
from an early age help them lay a solid foundation
the key factor to that is giving them the best education.
