Teardrops On My Valentines Card
Barely got a kiss goodby as you bolted out the door.
All throughout the day I saw friends receive flowers, candies and more.
Faces blushed so happy as they read their cards. Words of endearment, love and be my valentines.
As the day moved on I heard of the plans they had made for the night.
I sat and listened with pretend comments of delight. So happy for them I really was, jealous too cause I knew I would get nothing from you.
A silly holiday I know it is. Romantic notions and love with kisses.
Everyday should be Valentines day but its too easy to allow life to get in the way.
Wanted to feel special, wanted you to see how some of the little things are important too.
