Tears, Let Them Flow. Poem by Steve Ricketts

Tears, Let Them Flow.

Rating: 5.0

When your tears feel like falling, don't hold them back for me, it will never hurt to let your tears break free, all that I can tell you, is your tears do need to fall, all their really doing is cleansing your poor soul.

We only cry when needed, why else would it be. It shows how much we love them, it's how it's meant to be. It such a shock to lose them, and more than we can bare. For we just want the world to know, it would be so much better, if they could still be here.

The tears we cry are normal, you don't have to hide from view, it's only natural to ease the pain in you. When your tears start falling so hard it hurts your soul, it might help to remember, the reason we are hurting, is for the one that had to go.

Now all that's left are memories, to keep that love alive. Guard them with your very life and keep that love alive. Hope does spring eternal, it goes on forever more, so just keep on with that hopping, for that day to come, when we'll see our love one once more.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This was written for a friend who has just lost his baby Granddaughter. He was trying to carry on as normal (what ever that is) but kept on apologising ever time he broke down. I felt that I needed to let him know, that from now on his crying was a part of his normal.
