Tears Of Fears Poem by Nicola Kelly

Tears Of Fears

Tears of fears

Cradled in my mothers arms,
To falling in the park,
For attention in my tantrum,
Tear after tear.

Bullied in the school playground,
Listening to mum and dad argue,
Cannot cope with my feelings,
All I hear are my tears.

Friendships do not come easy,
Everything seems just so hard,
My mum and dad divorce,
Anger has replaced my tears.
Having to move house again,
To starting a new school,
Which left me filled with dread,
My fears summed up in my tears.

Growing up was just so tough,
For a sensitive little girl who,
Bore everybody's problems as her own,
As I shed the tears of my peers.
