Teen And Youth Poem by Rex-mayor Ubini

Teen And Youth

Mind to mind we had an agenda,
To reach for the stars,
And pour my name as sweet tears,
On the surface of the earth,
Where every leaf of the trees,
Would sigh and bathe clean,
And happily drink free,
A fetus in the matrix of my voice reed.

And on that day I barely realized,
The hedges of life had their ears on us,
Not only that, my dear teen-age,
I never thought of your short span,
I thought you would sojourn by
And by me all the way,
But I was just a child,
With a short brain,
When I began to stumble,
I realized you were far behind,
I turn tail
To carry you on my back
And there you gave up your soul, Without bidding bye

Like my days on my mother's arm,
You left me to a new age
Unfamiliar and unfriendly,
Pierced a bone of fear into my chest,
Miscarriage of our dream was the sequel.
I have to fold the whole of me,
Into the matrix of passing time,
To be reborn with a fresh mind,
And on my birthday I parted,
With the wife of my passed errs,
And rise,
Ten times the count I fell,
To succeed
Ten times the count I dreamed.
