Telescope Poem by tolu ogundare

Telescope

Life is worth a few lessons,
From the eyes of sager lenses.

For life shall not always be,
What only your lenses can see.

Your lenses are prone to grow dimly,
At such times when needed so dearly.

- -

When the sky is empty and grim,
And life hurls you off the beam,

The lenses will always be ready,
And with the lessons come handy;

To unveil the bright silver lining,
Beneath the sable cloud quietly smiling.

May I lend you now this little piece of mine?
And if you so wish you can make it thine.
