Tell Me Poem by Josh Burnett

Tell Me

Where are my words to write the lines?
Where are the lines to write my poem?
I know exactly where they are.
They are in your voice that I hear.
Ther are on your tongue whispering in my ear.
They are deep within your eyes
That makes my heart beat deep inside.
They are in your flowing hair.
They are in how much you care.
They are in the breathable air.

Tell me, if I don't have your heart,
Should mine beat since their apart?
Tell me, if I don't have your hand,
Will I ever become your everything man?
Tell me, if I don't have your love,
Will I ever get someone to give enough?

How can I be blessed,
When I'm not the one you're with?
How can I be free,
When lonilness are the chains?
How can I be everything I am,
When you can't be seen?
How can I write,
When you're not the inspiration?
How can I speak,
When I can't hear your name?

Tell me, if I don't have your heart,
Should mine beat since their apart?
Tell me, if I don't have your hand,
Will I ever become your everything man?
Tell me, if I don't have your love,
Will I ever get someone to give enough?

If I don't have you,
How can I have anyone?
If you're not by my side,
Will anyone be mine?
If you're not my tears,
Will I ever cry?

Tell me, if I don't have your heart,
Should mine beat since their apart?
Tell me, if I don't have your hand,
Will I ever become your everything man?
Tell me, if I don't have your love,
Will I ever get someone to give enough?
