Tell Me If I'M Wrong Poem by Nicanor P. Tiosen

Tell Me If I'M Wrong

Rating: 5.0

In life, nothing is constant.
Everything's in a state of flux.
Not surprising for Earth has, since,
Been spinning, not ever been lax.

Seeds sprout. Tendrils curl,
Creeping their way on a trellis.
Babies crawl. Learn to walk -
By their cribs, one step, nay, a series.

Time flies. Trees age.
Nestlings leave their home.
Children go. Find their mates -
But they don't cease to roam.

Wheels roll. Birds soar,
To far away places fly.
Hopeful, man seeks his fortune -
Beneath the wide blue sky.

Luck smiles. To another, frowns,
No reason to be envious about.
For when the wheel rolls -
Up is down, causing other lips to pout.

Young and old, rich or poor
All have their share of laughter.
Sound asleep. Deep in a dream -
One's no better than the other.

Rivers flow. Vapor rises.
Clouds float on high.
Snow falls. Rain drops -
Makes the stone-hearted cry.

Things change. Friends leave.
Life doesn't stop for anybody.
Leaves fall. Bough breaks -
From trees, even the sturdy.

People come. People go.
Time does not stand still.
Feel the warmth of the day -
Soon comes the night chill.
