Tell Me, Tell You Poem by Michael Peterson

Tell Me, Tell You

Words that we say are meant differently
Since I love you, to I am sorry
Where did our hearts and love go?
Like a broken record theses words shattered
Inseparable at first, distance now
Lies, games, cheating, mistrust we have all
Many years put into us, rocky from the start
Made thru some trying times
I wish I had a dime for everyone
We could be rich, nor poor
Neither of us, being the best
Yes, we have our flaws
But we did beat them all
The kisses don't feel the same
You look so distant when we kiss
The passion may be gone, I'm not done
The hugs were tight, your smile so comfy
Now I see see thru you and the hugs are less and less
Tell me, tell you
Our words so different, feelings are hurt
Where that lovely, beautiful lady?
That I fell so hard for and still die for
You made me melt every time I see you smile
Now it's more anger and frowns
I cry tears every night over you
The girl of my dreams is now the nightmare
I love you, dear, but my words are lost
You did and still mean the most
Tell me, tell you
Where did our fairy tale love go?

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Many words can play many games. For love is deeper then the words you say. Don't break our heart, bring the love that makes us one.
