Temporal Life V.S. Eternal Life Poem by Miriam Mababaya

Look at them enjoy life each day and night,
Riding fancy cars, living in mansions,
Looking down on each other with much pride,
And living life as though there’s no reason –

They think this world means ‘to live forever’ –
‘Life is its beginning and death its end’.
Know that, indeed, there is a Hereafter,
Where we will be asked about what we sent

Of good deeds and intentions to please God –
Allah who will ask us on that Great Day –
About what we did, with the things we had,
And everything we used to do and say.

Life is a pathway to Heaven or Hell;
What follows this path is Life Eternal.
