'Tempus Tickus' Poem by Trevor Valentine

'Tempus Tickus'

'Tempus Tickus'
by Valentine

I sit in the corner
Of this virtual world
And that you don't know me
Really
It helps

For I can share
All there is about me
Without fear

Not fear of you knowing
But fear that I might burden you
A friend
Here
In waiting

For here I know
That you can decide
Stop and look or listen
Or quickly move on

You decide

And I would not
Judge
Whichever you might
Choose
For you have
Your own special journey
And your own special time

It is precious
Tempus tickus

If I share
It is not to off load
Or to burden you more
But to share
There is
Life
Here
Beyond

With a smile
Or a tear
It does not matter
No fear
For both come
Deep from our
Soul

We pick up
Our skirts
And we move on
With no hurt
And we smile
Maybe forced
But we smile

A warm breeze and yes, rainbows
Sun in our hair
We make memories
Better memories
Than those we would return
To the red burning flames
Whence they came
Let them burn

Ashes to ashes
Dust to dust

This time we are living
It is God given

It is precious
Tempus tickus

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I am debating in my mind still whether to add the word 'quickus' at the very end; thoughts?
