Tender Mercies Poem by Diwakar Bhatt

Tender Mercies

O! My love, let me hold you in the bound of my arms,
Your delicate body and fragrance create utopian charms.

Enamored I am by the sensual beauty the God bestowed
Incessant euphoria drenching my being and soul followed.

Let me plunge in the abyss of satyrical propensities lowly,
Human vices I could not shed but counted it can’t be a folly.

Feathery touch of snuggled form bring soporific delight,
Lost I am in the hallucinations as if in a heavenly flight.

Envious I am of myself to get your tender mercies showered,
Symbol of transcendental beauty as a Honeysuckle flowered.

Let me behold your beauty with the eyes of a lover blind,
I want to keep your image indelibly engraved in my mind.

Beautiful things happen when you smile I would endorse,
The magic can enliven a spirit lying in dumps of remorse.

No more can I versify the feelings of enchantment galore,
My words are unable to depict the heart’s interminable pour.

So, let me be quiet in the nearness of your loveable entity,
Akin to a lotus-eater always living in fantasy till eternity.
