Tera Intezaar

kabse khadi hu trer intezaar mai
ek bar piche mudkar toh dekh
kabse taras rahi hu tere saath k lie
ek bar mera hath tham kar toh dekh
kabse zinda hu sirf tere lie
zara mere pass aakar toh dekh
kabse ye dil sirf tere liye dhadak raha hai
kabhi meri saanso ko sunkar toh dekh

By this still hearth, among these barren crags,
Match'd with an aged wife, I mete and dole
Unequal laws unto a savage race,
